Analytical & Chemical Characterization

HASETRI is equipped with complete range of sophisticated analytical instruments for characterization/analysis of polymers, fillers, rubber chemicals and rubber products. Scientists having domain expertise in Analytical Chemistry provide the necessary support for Material Research and development of new compound.

 

1. CHEMICAL LABORATORY

Full scale chemical analysis such as antioxidant analysis by TLC, volume fraction of rubber, Active content of different chemicals, Purity of Rubber Chemicals, saponification value, pH, sulphur content, specific gravity, gel content, moisture content, viscosity, basic qualitative and quantitative analysis including Poly Cyclic Aromatic content of rubber process oils.

2. THERMAL ANALYSIS & TGA
DSC is used for raw material characterisation, cure simulation etc. and TGA is used for composition analysis, blend analysis and reverse engineering.

5. NCS ANALYSER
Used to determine Nitrogen, Carbon and Sulphur content of the raw materials and finished products.

6. UV-VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTOMETER

This is used for characterization of raw materials for rubber and allied industries.

7. ICP-OES
Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy is used to determine concentrations of a wide range of elements simultaneously (not sequentially) in solution.This instrument is typically directed to determination of most of the elements in the periodic table except H, He, O, F, Ne, S, Cl, Br, Kr, Pm, Tc, Xe, Po, At, Rn, Fr, RA, Ac, Pa and Np to Lr.

It is used to identify different chemical constituents in rubber products like accelerator, antidegradant, wax fractions etc. Moreover, it is used for characterisation of solvents and various rubber chemicals It is used to determine Carbon Chain distribution, Identification of Solvents, Polymer, Characterization and Organic Chemicals, Characterization in vulcanized products.

9. SURFACE AREA ANALYSER
Used for analysis of surface area for any particulate materials.

10. GC-FTIR
Performs The function of fractionating individual components present in different raw materials, in process compounds and finished products. Besides, it is capable of complete quantitative and qualitative analysis of various elastomeric products.

11. INDIVIDUAL PELLET HARDNESS TESTER
It is used to determine the distribution of individual pellet hardness of carbon black samples.
