Set Properties Testing for Rubber and Elastomers

Set properties of polymeric material can be defined as retention of permanent deformation after removal of load. Load can be either compression or tension. Deformation can be expressed as reduction of original thickness (Compression Set) or increase of original length (Tension Set).

Rubber products like seals and gaskets are subjected to continuous stress condition. Repeated compression of a rubber seal over time results in progressive stress relaxation. We are providing different method to determine set properties of elastomers.

Tension Set: ASTM D 412
Compression Set: ASTM D 395/ISO 815
Stress relaxation Compression mode: ISO 3384
Stress relaxation Tension mode: ISO 6914
Creep compression mode: ISO 8013

HASETRI received Prof. SK Joshi Laboratory Excellence Award from Quality Council of India (QCI) during their Silver Jubilee celebration held on 6th October 2022 at New Delhi. This is the first testing laboratory in private sector in India to receive this Award.
